Digital Imaging and Press Gallery 06-07

Art 1 - Photomontage - First project of the 06-07 school year. These collages were created using online stock photography. The students attempted to create an interesting collage that uses atmospheric perspective, overlapping planes, and changes in scale to simulate three dimensional spaces.

Art 1 - Pinhole Photography - These images were taken with pinhole cameras, the paper negatives were scanned and then edited with Photoshop. Some of the images are straight photographs while others have been enhanced with gradient maps or hand coloring.

Art 1 - Pinhole Collage - These images were created using the class pinhole photographs as source material. Students collaged the images and then added color of graphics with Photoshop.

Art 1 - Studio Portraits - These images were created using the class Nikon D100 camera and were taken in the classroom studio. The students converted the digital images into black/white and cropped and edited the images where necessary.

Art 1 - Andy Warhol inspired triptych portraits of pop icons- The students chose a pop icon to use as the basis for a triptych in the style of Andy Warhol

Robert Rauschenberg inspired collages- The students used personal and found imagery combined with scans of brush strokes to create collages that approximate the images by artist Robert Rauschenberg.
