Welcome to the Fall 2004 Technology Newsletter.
The Technology Work Order Program now has a new URL. The new address is www.hoover.k12.al.us/workorders/workorders.html.For more information on how to access and use the program, click on the Technology Work Order Program Instructions link to the left.
NetSupport has been installed in all Hoover City Schools instructional labs. For additional information on how to use NetSupport, click on NetSupport Help. This handout provides step-by-step instructions on the program.
Please remember to set your GroupWise password. Not only will this help to keep your mailbox secure, but you will not be able to access GroupWise from home without a password. More information on setting your password and accessing your e-mail from home can be found in the GroupWise PowerPoint presentation.
The Hoover City Schools Bulletin Board is now up and running on the Intranet. You may access the site by visiting http://www.hoover.k12.al.us/hcsnet/CO/Bboard/hcsbb.htm. This is a community service for our employees. If you have announcements, personal items that you would like to sale, etc., you may e-mail Blue Horn at bhorn@hoover.k12.al.us to have your items posted. Please adhere to the rules of this bulletin board.
Each fall the Department of Technology distributes the Technology Survival Skills Handbook for Teachers. This handbook provides valuable information concerning technology in our district. Topics include the Acceptable Use Policy, directions on accessing AESOP, the WebEvent calendar program, Hoover City Schools technology resources, STI information and much more.
